Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has started "air safari" weekly flight for one and a half hour to Northern Areas and Saidu Sharif. The district manager said "air safari" would promote tourism, improve image of the country and attract foreign tourists.

This was stated by Nauman A. Shah, district head, PIA Rawalpindi on Friday, while speaking at award giving ceremony to travel agents of Rawalpindi district for their outstanding performance.

He said the Rawalpindi station had shown phenomenal growth in sales during 2005 and added this happened mainly due to sustained support of agents to PIA.

He said PIA new vision was aimed at providing convenience, competitiveness and comfort to each of our valued passengers, adding these objectives could be achieved through mutual efforts and mutual co-ordination.
